Longevity and Wellness Peptides Research
7 articles
Longevity and wellness peptides are marketed for ageing, energy, the heart, the liver and sexual function, and the evidence behind them varies widely. Bremelanotide, known online as PT-141, is approved in the United States for low sexual desire in premenopausal women, and elamipretide (SS-31) received accelerated approval for Barth syndrome. MOTS-c rests mostly on cell and animal studies, and Epithalon, Livagen and Cardiogen come largely from one research group with little independent replication. The SS-31 guide shows what an approval rests on, the MOTS-c guide applies the same questions to an unapproved compound, and the NAD Plus guide explains why NAD+ is not a peptide.
